My late husband (Mike Perry) and I have known Katie since she was a young girl growing up in our community.  Her appreciation of Chatham County has its roots in her rural upbringing.  It was nurtured by her parents’ community involvement and it has now blossomed into an effort to protect our county’s citizens and its environment through her service and candidacy.  I’ve been encouraged not only by Katie’s interest in the future of Chatham County but her willingness to take on the serious work of guiding its future.
